It features a snapshot of a traditional English scene: hunting dogs and horse riders, caught in the midst of a hot chase during a fox hunt. The scene looks very realistic, particularly the amazing movement of all participants. You can feel the hunters’ eagerness in their posture and the dogs’ camaraderie as they trot, panting, toward their prey. This jar is very well made and has a lot of detail – just look at the intricate gold accents and a scrolling gilt leaf border on the lid. The bottom part of the jar has a double rim enhanced with a contrasting combination of the dark green and maroon colors with gold accents. The gold finish of the finial top completes the stunning design of thisjar. This jar measures 6.5” high x 5.5” wide. It will look great in a Study or a Library and will make a spectacular display item for a dresser or a curio cabinet. Or place it on a nightstand and use it as a keepsake box to store your favorite keepsakes.
